PAX: PacRat (Q), Mister Brown, Lights Out!, The Mick, Blue, Optimus, and Muck
Go time put the mercury around the 36 degree mark. I pulled into the Patmos lot about 15-20 seconds before 0530. I did not account for time to warm the car up, and I certainly didn’t account for time to scrape ice off the windshield. We’re seriously getting close to those long, cold workouts guys. Make sure you get your digits protected. Those are the things that get the least amount of blood, and the things that will go first during cold workouts. I noticed Muck had no gloves this AM. Get that ice scraper back in the car, and dress for the cold.
Working out in Wisconsin this weekend, I discovered a pretty cool A.O., should F3 N. Milwaukee ever come to fruition. There were bus parking spaces that were numbered 1-18. I ran to parking spot #1, did 1 burpee, and ran back. I then ran to parking spot #2, performed 2 burpees, and ran back. After a set of 7, I added it up. I found 3 sets put me exactly 16 burpees short of 100. So my next 2 sets were 8’s.
1 to 7=28, and 1 to 8 = 36. So 28+36+36=100. That’s too good of a number to fall 16 short, so I figured we could do it at Patmos today in lieu of the Wolverine Complex.

Thang 1
Line up by the raised parking curb (near the warm-up circle). I placed the Light Beacon at 30m.
- 1 Burpee. Run 30m to the light beacon and back
- 2 Burpees. Run 30m to the light beacon and back
- Repeato until we hit 7 burpees
Mosey down the hill, do a park lap
PAX gave a 12 count, then LightsOut showed up. We gave him the courtesy of a 7-count rest. We then lined up at the base of Lonely Tree Hill for 1 sprint. Mr. Brown and Blue almost in a dead heat – too close for me to call, but I’m sure they’d love to tell you who smoked who.
Thang 2
Walk down to the base of LTH, Meet up just a click E. of where the dock and path diverge. I placed the Light Beacon at 20m uphill
- 1 Burpee. Run 20m to the light beacon and back
- 2 Burpees. Run 20m to the light beacon and back
- Repeato until we hit 8 burpees
Mosey park lap
PAX gave a 14 count after the 6 was in. Line up at the base of Lonely Tree Hill for 1 sprint.
PAX walked with me as I picked up the Light Beacon.
Thang 3
Mosey to the flag. With about 14 minutes to kill, we finished the math problem. PAX circled up:
8 burpees OYO
4 burpees OYO
mini-break (3-5 seconds)
7 burpees OYO
3 burpees OYO
mini-break
6 burpees OYO
2 burpees OYO
mini-break
5 burpees OYO
1 burpee on my count
With more time left to kill, we moseyed to the base of the AMPh. She has new facelift with new terracotta trim and a fresh epoxy coating. Careful next time you’re there – it’s slippery even though there wasn’t a drop of water to be found
At the base of the AMPh, circle up for the Kentucky Merkin Complex

Moleskin:
Welcome to the Century Club! I wondered how I could sneak 100 burpees into a workout. Kinda how mom would sneak in vitamins and vegetables into our food as kids. Everyone there will know an “easy” to get to 100 reps. Sub in anything you want and boom you get 100.
Great seeing you all. Working nights is killing me. I’d rather suffer from 4:30a Monday to 5:00a Tuesday and post with y’all men than get some extra sleep. Totally worth it.
Serious about the Flag. It means a lot to us all. Build your flag, post it with a a sense of pride and duty.
That’s a beautiful flag you had there today Optimus.
God Bless.
