13 PAX came out to see what you can do without carrying heavy things around with you the whole beatdown. In my beatdown last week we carried two blocks around with us the whole time. This time around we had to bricks but sweated just as much as last time. Here’s what we managed:
Warm up:
The Thang:
Moleskin:
As usual I often underestimate the amount of time to get through some of these sets so we went without one additional ladder that I had planned on doing. Everyone did a nice job of grinding through the humidity this morning with my best efforts at keeping us grinding the whole time. Nice work out there today fellas!
Until next time,
Scarecrow

Warm-up 6-7am and 7am to 8am – Mulchnado
The warm-up, I assume, began around 6, but I wasn’t there,.was led by Campbells. Campbells cut a path thru the thicket that led from the mulch pile to the home stretch of the prayer trailer. The part of the trail along the creek. The part Pac Rat took us through on Thursday that seemed to have too much poison Ivy for my supple legs. Campbells manage to get 2 hearty souls, Mickey Tints, and BooBoo, to help him move enough mulch to cover the rest of the trail. I am told it still needs to be spread, but there is enough to cover the path and hopefully drown my nemesis. Class Act help part time too.
The Thang – Hubnado
Hubnado began around 645 when Lights Out started the circuit. Cruiser and I showed up with 10k and Dr Freud right behind. Bert followed shortly after. Then Class Act rolled in with one of the small tires from our stock.
Lights Out finished his sets, thanks to the early start. Bert rucked his circuits … old school style. 10K got indoctrinated to the whole concept, following along and loved every minute of it. Dr. Freud did his modified Go-Ruck beatdown-sorta-nado. Editor joined Dr. Freud. The Mick did it with his weight vest.
Cruiser set-up shop next to his truck, got out his mat and dumbbells and went to work on upper body and core. He can not run far, so, he does what he can in one spot.
COT
Cruiser relived his perilous heart surgery story of the Pax. No one left. He talked of his 3 months in the hospital and long term rehab. He mentioned a fellow F3 friend in Houston, a top transplant surgeon, who noticed swelling in Cruisers legs. This led him originally to the heart doctor. If he had not paid attention to those symptoms the outcome would have been different. He also mentioned how he went full steam at F3, pushing himself before his heart surgery, so, his recovery would have been easier. God had a different plan and nearly a year later he is still recovering. But Cruiser urged us to value family and life every day, because it is full of unknowns and unexpecteds. Go hug your loved ones and tell them you love and appreciate them. And … for God’s sake, listen to your body and pay attention to your symptoms. Seek care when appropriate.
Prayer (TAPS)
We prayed for family members who are recovering from serious illnesses or procedures.
